Pismo Beach
Youth Theater’s Story
Pismo Beach Youth Theater was started by Olivia Miller in the summer of
2003 and includes theater classes for kids ages 18 months—young
adults. Our debut shows were Into the Woods and Are You My Mother with
a total of 20 students. After the first year our program more than doubled
in size and after the second year we expanded our classes to San Luis
Obispo. In the summer of 2008 we expanded our program to Santa Maria
and it has been a huge success. Also in 2008 Miss Kelli started as
assistant director/stage manager with PBYT helping our program to
flourish. Now at the start of our 7th season with 25 shows to our credit we
will move our productions to the Black Box Theater at the Clark Center.

Pismo Beach Youth Theater's mission is to:

  • Strive to produce high quality children's theater.

  • Offer affordable classes for every child.

  • Create a healthy environment for students to learn in with good role
    models.

  • Train students who are interested in directing.

  • Keep all children busy and learning with sitting around time at a
    minimum.
